Color Wheel

Before we can begin to design combinations, we need to know how colors work. There are 12 basic colors: red, orange red, orange, yellow, orange, yellow, green yellow, green, blue, green, blue, blue, purple, violet and red violet. Color wheel is created from these 12 tones formed in a circle.

Color Value

If you see color on a color wheel, these colors are at full strength, also known as satiety. If you black or white to one of these colors, so shady was once a complete saturation is either paler or darker, depending on what you add and how much. The paleness or darkness of a color is called color value.

A shadow is a color that is clean, no black, white or gray added. A color is a hue with the addition of white, and a shadow is made by adding black. A tone is created when gray is added and you have a color that has the same value as the original color, but is not a color.

Color Schemes

Colour schemes are combinations of colors are created using the color wheel. Here are a few:

Monochromatic

A monochromatic color scheme consists of the same in many different colors, shades and tones. For example, a monochromatic arrangement made with a rich red, one red and one pink. This is because they are all the same color family as the red family.
